Flea Market Finds

One of the things I love about living in Seoul is that there are so many flea markets happening. They’re sometimes vintage flea markets or just online street vendors selling their clothes offline. As much as I love online shopping and often tempted by it, there’s always a unique charm that vintage clothes have. Other than the fact that it’s a great option for sustainable shopping, I feel like you often find pieces that aren’t easily purchasable elsewhere. While some people might be put off by the idea of buying someone’s old clothes, I think they often forget that the clothes that they buy in store that are supposed to be “brand new” might be returned or tried on by many people before them.

I think there’s something really special with the idea that someone’s unwanted clothes become someone else’s newest piece of clothing. That’s what this blazer is to me! If you’ve read my previous posts, you’ll know that I absolutely love blazers. It’s such a simple way to make an outfit look effortlessly chic. Most of the blazers that I have are neutral colours but when I saw this blazer I immediately knew that I needed it in my closet. the purple isn’t too strong and isn’t so intimidating to wear on a casual basis. It’s a really nice piece to throw onto an all black outfit like this. The shoulder pads on this blazer is also another key feature. Shoulder pads might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love blazers that have a bit of shoulder pads and a square cut. It helps give a more oversized look and helps the blazer look nice when you button it up. I’m trying to wear my blazers as much as I can before it gets too cold, so maybe you’ll see this blazer styled a different way soon.
