Where I Went // Distillery Christmas Market
If you know me personally, you would most likely know that I’ve been in the Christmas spirit since the beginning of November. I’ve already started listening to festive songs and have started decorating my room accordingly. Luckily I’m surrounded by friends who are in the same boat as me. The Distillery District holds a Christmas Market that occurs annually. Although they have the same things every year, I feel the need to go each time. When you go, you’re surrounded by people who enjoy the holidays as much as you do, ‘elves’ running around counting down the day to Christmas, and a massive selection of different things to eat.
The experience you get when you go during the night versus when you go during the day is so different. If you have time during the day, I’d recommend you to go at a time when the sun is close to setting so you can experience both at once. Although going in the night is really pretty with all the fairy lights and light fixtures, I personally enjoy going during the day much more. Maybe I’ll post pictures of the market during the day when I make another visit. Either way, if you live in Toronto and haven’t visited the market before you need to do yourself a favour and visit this year.
